Dr. Bryan Christopher Lao

Dr. Lao is a board-certified internist and Gastroenterologist in the Philippines. He finished his Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Training (ERCP/EUS/EMR/FMT) at Prince of Wales Hospital of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, SAR. He was the Most Outstanding Resident in Internal Medicine at CGHMC (2017) and one of the top 3 candidates for Most Outstanding Fellow in Training in Gastroenterology by PSG (2021). He presented numerous research papers in international conventions, namely APDW, APASL, IDDF, Asian EUS Congress, and KDDW. He also published research papers in reputable journals locally and internationally. He participates in the annual ANBIIG Workshops held in Hong Kong. He was granted by ENDO/IDEN 2024 (organized by the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO)) with the prestigious International Young Endoscopist Award 2024 in South Korea. He had several observerships at Kyungpook National University Hospital in Daegu, South Korea, Beijing Friendship Hospital, China, and Asan Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea. He also attended the WEO International School of EUS (WISE) 2024. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and affiliated with various Metro Manila and Lipa City hospitals.
