Dr. Clint Guitarte

Dr. Clint Guitarte is a highly skilled orthopaedic and spine surgeon based in Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental. Born and raised in Cagayan de Oro City, he attended Corpus Christi School for his primary and secondary education. Dr. Guitarte earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines – Diliman. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines – Manila, where he was recognized as the Most Outstanding Intern in Orthopaedics during his internship at the Philippine General Hospital. Driven by his passion for Orthopaedics, Dr. Guitarte pursued specialized training at the Philippine General Hospital, completing his residency in Orthopaedics in December 2018. His dedication and exceptional skills led him to rank first in the Philippine Board of Orthopaedics Diplomate Examinations in 2019. Having developed a keen interest in Spine Surgery, Dr. Guitarte further honed his expertise by undergoing advanced training in Complex Spine Surgery in Sydney, Australia. He trained under renowned spine surgeons at the Macquarie Spine Unit, Macquarie University, and the New South Wales Spine Specialists. During his time in Sydney, he worked at prominent hospitals such as Sydney Children’s Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, and Macquarie University Hospital. Dr. Guitarte currently holds clinical appointments at CDO Polymedic Medical Plaza, St. Francis Doctors’ Hospital and Medical Center, and Madonna and Child Medical Center. He is also affiliated with Capitol University Medical Center, Cagayan de Oro Medical Center, and CDO Polymedic General Hospital. As a testament to his professional standing, Dr. Guitarte is a fellow of the Philippine Orthopaedic Association and a member of the Philippine Spine Society. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Guitarte enjoys the outdoors and participates in various activities. He is a certified PADI Rescue Diver and actively participates in Open Water Swimming events.
