Dr. Danzon John De Castro

Dr. Danzon John de Castro was born and raised in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. He earned his bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Silliman University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Southwestern University Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine. He is a licensed physician and a registered nutritionist-dietitian. Dr. de Castro completed his residency training in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ORL-HNS) at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in 2023. He is a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (DPBOHNS). He subsequently pursued and successfully completed a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the renowned Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, with a focus on complex reconstruction of head and neck cancer defects. His professional interests include head and neck oncology, free flap reconstruction, nutritional biochemistry, medical nutrition therapy, and surgical innovation.
