Dr. Dennis Fernandez

Dr Fernandez is a licensed medical physician with practice concentrating on Adult Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He took formal training in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians. He is equipped to evaluate, diagnose and treat common medical illness such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, lipid/ cholesterol disorders, thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism/goiter) and infections such as mild pneumonia, upper respiratory and urinary tract infection. Dr Fernandez is a board certified gastroenterologist by the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology. He specializes in the evaluation of patients with symptoms such as hyperacidity, dyspepsia, bloatedness, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, blood in stool, rectal bleeding, and jaundice. He is trained to diagnose and treat patients with diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, gallstones, cholecystitis, fatty liver disease, hepatitis, upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding, appendicitis, diverticular disorders and hemorrhoids. Likewise he has vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant (cancer) tumors of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, anus, liver, pancreas and the biliary system. He is adept with the use of fiber optic endoscopy technology in the evaluation of the upper (gastroscopy) and lower (colonoscopy) gastrointestinal tract. He has undergone further training in the field of advanced endoscopy such as in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound.
