Dr. Tan is an Internist and is both a Clinical and Interventional adult Cardiologist. He is an experienced cardiologist treating various heart ailments ranging from essential hypertension, coronary artery disease, rheumatic heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies and adult congenital heart disease. He has extensive training experience both local and abroad and specializes in minimally invasive Coronary (Percutaneous Coronary Interventions; coronary angioplasty) and Structural Heart procedures (Percutaneous Valvular and Congenital Heart Disease Interventions). He has received formal training abroad with the latest minimally invasive heart valve replacement and repair procedures namely TAVI/TAVR and Mitraclip as well as minimally invasive device closures for adult congenital heart diseases. He likewise performs coronary angioplasties of various complexities. He is formally trained to perform complex Coronary Artery Disease interventions including rotational and orbital atherectomy as well as coronary physiology assessment and imaging.
