I am a radiation oncologist practicing in the Philippines. I completed my residency training in Radiation Oncology at the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center of the Department of Health, one of the highest volume cancer centers and brachytherapy centers in the country. I then proceeded to complete a two-year subspecialty fellowship at the University of Toronto Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada; one of the world’s leading cancer centers; where I completed subspecialty clinical training in Head and Neck Radiation Oncology, Genitourinary Radiation Oncology, Breast Radiation Oncology, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT)/stereotactic ablative body radiation therapy (SABR) including novel techniques such as SBRT for inoperable renal cell cancers and SBRT for prostate cancer with focal microboost, MR guided adaptive radiation therapy, and HDR and LDR prostate brachytherapy (both ultrasound guided and MRI guided).
